5 on a Friday

1. Halfway day (July 2nd) reflection. The best book I’ve read so far this year in 2024 would have to be Funny Story by Emily Henry. I finished it in May, gave it 5 Stars and this was my review: “Love love love! Is this my new favorite Emily Henry book? It has everything – libraries, place attachment, and millennial inside jokes throughout. I think this is her best!”

2. I consider myself a minor expert in place attachment and loving where you live. The book that started it all? This is Where You Belong: Finding Home Wherever You Are by Melody Warnick. I recommend it to anyone who is moving somewhere new and wants to expedite that place attachment feeling.

3. One of my greatest joys is teaching people how to use the Libby app. It’s a library reading app where you can download audio books and e-books for FREE. Check out the Tips & Tricks section of the Libby Life blog.

4. If you haven’t seen Inside Out 2, it’s a must! Whether you have kids or not. Check out this article from Time explaining why it is a box office hit!

5. The perfect time for gymnasts and Swifties. I love that Simone Biles selected “…Ready For It?” for her floor routine intro. And Taylor commented! Go Team USA, let the (Olympic) games begin.
