This week flew by and I can’t believe we are quickly headed to the halfway point of 2025!
Green Apple Books
I recently flew out of SFO and visited Green Apple Books in the Delta terminal. They have such a great selection and I loved the wall display highlighting one book for each year the store has been open!

Library Book Haul
Last weekend I wanted to go shopping, so I went to the library instead, highly recommend! I was able to browse and borrow some new-ish releases and one that has been on my TBR. I’m not sure if I will get to everything by the time they are due, but a girl can dream!

Did You Know?
Did you know that if you listen to an audiobook for just 15 minutes a day, you could read nine 10-hour audiobooks in a year?
- 30 mins/day = 18 books
- 1 hr / day = 36 books
- 2 hrs / day = 73 books
If you are trying to catch up on your reading goals, give audiobooks a try!

Currently Reading
I’m currently reading The Paris Novel by Ruth Reichl. From the publisher:
When her estranged mother dies, Stella is left with an unusual inheritance: a one-way plane ticket and a note reading “Go to Paris.” Alone in a foreign city, Stella falls into old habits, living cautiously and frugally. Then she stumbles across a vintage store, where she tries on a fabulous Dior dress. The shopkeeper insists that this dress was meant for Stella and for the first time in her life Stella does something impulsive. She buys the dress—and embarks on an adventure.
As weeks—and many decadent meals—go by, Stella ends up living as a “tumbleweed” at famed bookstore Shakespeare & Company, uncovers a hundred-year-old mystery in a Manet painting, and discovers a passion for food that may be connected to her past. A feast for the senses, this novel is a testament to living deliciously, taking chances, and finding your true home.

I started East Bay Bookshelf a year ago in June 2024 and what a fun year of writing and sharing about books. I plan on doing a recap of all the things I’ve learned, but check out my very first post here!

I hope you have a great weekend and are able to set aside a little bit of time for reading!
