Read with Me: The God of the Woods by Liz Moore

I’ve been thinking about reading The God of the Woods by Liz Moore since last weekend when The End of an Era docuseries premiered. Honestly, I’ve known about this book for months, but I’ve been afraid to read it. I needed the nudge from Taylor (my friend called her the ultimate influencer and I agree!).

Today I was at the library with my son and decided that it’s “now or never” for me. I am taking several days off work over the next two weeks and will have plenty of reading time, so I thought it might be fun to do a read-a-long! I first checked out if the physical copy was available at the library. Nope, of course not! Then via Libby, but it’s at least a 6-week wait for the audiobook or 4-week wait for the e-book. So off I went to the Friends of the Lafayette Library Corner Book Shop. There was one copy available!

I don’t know how many versions or editions there are, but my copy is 476 pages. So if I begin on Monday, December 22nd and end on Sunday, January 4th, I’ll have 14 days to read, averaging about 34 pages per day. Totally do-able for me this time of year! I created a sample schedule below. I don’t want to stop in the middle of a chapter, so some of the days may be a little more or less than 34 pages.
