Welcome to another Friday in May-cember! Have you heard that term? The kid events are piling up on calendars this time of year; we seem to have something every single day or evening! I wouldn’t have it any other way though, I have not forgotten where we were just five short years ago in May of 2020.
This week I’m sharing a Bay Area bookish event, links to blog content from the week, an announcement about a book to screen adaptation, and some great e-book deals!
Bay Area Book Festival
Mark your calendar! The Bay Area Book Festival is May 31st and June 1st. The schedule of events shows guest speakers, block parties, writer’s workshops and more!

Beyond the Bookshelf
I’m introducing a new series called “Beyond the Bookshelf” where I provide a behind the scenes take of the reading and writing life. This week I answered the question: Do you follow a planned TBR or are you a mood reader? Click to read!

Catch Up on Posts From This Week
Check out this week’s Lattes for Literacy update where I share the local literacy program I’m exploring for my next donation.

In this week’s Tuesday TBR, I share why Ordinary Time by Annie B. Jones was immediately added to my “to be read” list and find out which indie bookstore the author runs!

Book to Screen
I recently learned that my current read, Remarkably Bright Creatures, is being adapted into a movie starring Sally Field! You may have to click on the image to see this Instagram post. I cannot wait to see how Marcellus, the octopus, is portrayed!
