Happy (almost) Halloween! This week has been filled with school spirit week and all the Halloween-themed activities for us. I’m hitting publish right before jumping back into the festivities this morning!

Today I’m sharing a librarian spotlight, 5 books featured on my favorite coffee mug, a book recommendation, my review of one of the most anticipated books of fall, and I’m coming clean on the books I’ve actually read on my TBR list.
Librarian Spotlight + Meet the Writer Behind Bookmarked Blog

I recently interviewed the librarian and writer behind Bookmarked Blog! We met a few years ago at a literary festival and started volunteering together. She shares her literary sins and just how many copies of Pride and Prejudice she owns!
5 Books Featured on The Female Writers Mug

Ever since the temperatures dropped, I’ve been excited for fall—coffee in the morning, hot chocolate in the evenings, and cuddling up with a blanket and a great book. One of my favorite mugs right now is The Female Writers Mug. There are about 30 books written by female authors featured on the mug: a few I’ve read, some I’ve heard of, and many are brand new titles for me.
TBR: The Good Part by Sophie Cousens

I’m bringing you a backlist book that I recently added to my TBR after hearing about it from Bookmarked Blog. In our interview, I asked what book she recommends to everyone and why.
Book Review: Big Little Truths by Liane Moriarty

I picked up Big Little Truths for a book club with mom-friends. Published on August 25, 2026 it is considered one of the most anticipated books of fall this year!
Books I’ve Actually Read on My TBR

For a few years, I’ve been publishing an almost-weekly series on Tuesdays about books I’ve recently added to my TBR list. I’m taking a look back at the list to see if and when I read them.
However you choose to celebrate—trick-or-treating, passing out candy, watching scary movies, or pretending you aren’t home, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I’m personally looking forward to my son handing over his Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to me on Saturday night. He’s not a fan, so I’m crossing my fingers he doesn’t trade all of them with friends before he gets home!
Questions for your weekend:
- What is your favorite type of Halloween candy?
- What’s the scariest novel you’ve ever read?
