Happy first Friday of October! This week I’m coming to you after spending all my free time listening to the Encore album. I really can’t decide which song is my favorite. And that music video…the plot twist. Pure cinema!
It’s Day 27 of my 30 Days of Writing project and I have to be honest, I have more than just three more days worth of content left to share. It went by so fast, I’ll be sharing my reflections soon (and figuring out what’s next!)
This 5 on a Friday includes: two books I picked up at a recent library book sale, how I decide what to actually buy with a bookstore gift card, an author interview, the books I’ve read from Read with Jenna, and the latest addition to my TBR!
Library Book Sale Haul
I visited the Friends of the Danville Library Book Sale a few weeks ago and came home with two books! One Pulitzer Prize Winner and another described as a time travel romance, spy thriller, and a workplace comedy.
So You Received a Bookstore Gift Card for Your Birthday?
No complaints here! I think a bookstore gift card is the perfect gift for any reader. The trouble comes when deciding which books to actually buy, there are so many options!
Author Spotlight: J. Blake Myersmann
I recently interviewed J. Blake Myersmann for an Author Spotlight. Learn about his debut novel, reading habits and behind-the-scenes of his writing process!
Jenna’s Picks I’ve Read (and a few I loved!) ❤️
I can’t help myself, I am a fan of celebrity book clubs! I follow along with the Read with Jenna picks each month and I finally reviewed the entire list. Check out the 10 books I’ve read (and 6 I loved)!
TBR: Four Thousand Weeks
In response to my recent “Design Your Life” post, I received this non-fiction book rec from J. Blake Myersmann and immediately added to my TBR!
I have such fun plans this weekend, I can’t wait to tell you all about it next week!
I’m still reading last month’s book club selection (oops!) and started this book yesterday. We will see how far I get on both!
I hope YOU have a great weekend and are able to get in some reading, too.
