30 Days of Writing

Today I’m excited to kick-off a short-term project where I write and publish a blog post for 30 days in a row.

To help plan what I actually intend on writing about, I created a schedule. I won’t make any promises that I’m going to follow this exactly, but having this format helps me with brainstorming ideas and deciding when to share them.

  • Monday: Create a reading list or react to an existing list
  • Tuesday: Feature a book on my TBR
  • Wednesday: Review a book I’ve read
  • Thursday: Share a post from the East Bay Bookshelf archives
  • Friday: Publish the weekly newsletter: 5 on a Friday
  • Saturday: Share about life beyond the bookshelf
  • Sunday: Spotlight an author, bookstore, library, book club, reader, etc.

I thought about having a word count goal for each post, but I want to keep this as basic as possible for now. I also won’t make any promises about the photography situation, I’m an amateur photographer, ok?

From an accountability standpoint, I plan on writing and posting in the mornings as soon as I wake up, before I open any other social media apps.

Let me know if you’ve ever done a 30-day writing project. What helped you stay on track? Give me all the advice!
