Women’s Prize for Fiction 2026

On Thursday, the Women’s Prize for Fiction Winner was announced!

The Women’s Prize Trust is the charity building a better future by championing women’s writing. We improve access to and appreciation of women’s writing for all readers, providing an awards platform that supports brilliant writers and role models while nurturing an engaged, global community of readers and writers.

There were 16 books that made the longlist, announced in March earlier this year. Of those books, I’ve only read two – Heart the Lover and The Correspondent. Both 5-star reads for me!

The shortlist had 6 books and was announced in April. Flashlight is on my TBR!

I was so happy to see that The Correspondent by Virginia Evans was the winner.

Have you read any of the books nominated for the award?
