July 2nd is Halfway Day

July 2nd is officially when the second half of the year begins, so it’s a great time to do some reflection on where I’ve been and where I’m headed for 2026! Today I’m reviewing 4 main categories: books I’ve finished, pages I’ve read, blog posts I’ve written, and miles I’ve walked.

Books: My goal for 2026 is to read 24 books. According to my Goodreads Challenge, I’ve read 18 so far this year, so that’s 75% of my goal – I’m ahead of schedule!

Pages: I love short books, which is why I also count pages I’ve read. My goal is to read ~900 pages each month (about ~30 per day). So far this year, I’ve read 5,657 pages which makes me 257 pages ahead of schedule for the year!

Blog Posts: My goal is to post at least every week and so far I’ve published 30 posts for the year, so just ahead of schedule!

Mileage: My goal for the year is to walk 1000 miles. As of today, I’ve walked 474 miles, so I’m a little bit behind schedule. Last year I was so close to my end-of-year goal at 951 miles. I think I can do it in 2026!

How are you doing on your 2026 goals? Do you plan on doing a mid-year check-in?
